Event Support Specialist
Reports to: Event Manager
Classification: Hourly
Job Summary: Are you passionate about motorsports or have a knack for engaging with people? Join our team at the Dallara IndyCar Factory as an Event Support Specialist and/or Tour Guide. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing visitors with an immersive experience into the world of motorsports, showcasing our state-of-the-art Dallara facility. If you're enthusiastic, personable, and eager to contribute to memorable experiences, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guided Tours: Lead engaging and informative guided tours for visitors of all ages, offering insights into the manufacturing process of IndyCar's, the history of the sport and Dallara Company, and the technologies that drive racing excellence.
- Customer Engagement: Create a welcoming and interactive atmosphere by engaging visitors, answering questions, and providing in-depth knowledge about the exhibits, vehicles, and the facility.
- Event Support: Assist in organizing and facilitating special events, corporate functions, and group visits, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
- Safety Oversight: Ensure the safety of all visitors during tours and events, adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
- Exhibit Maintenance: Collaborate with the maintenance team to keep exhibits, displays, and tour routes in impeccable condition, presenting a professional and inviting environment.
- Storytelling: Convey the history, innovation, and excitement of IndyCar racing through captivating storytelling techniques that resonate with diverse audiences.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
- Energetic, friendly, and approachable demeanor, with the ability to create a positive and memorable visitor experience.
- Strong public speaking and presentation abilities, with confidence in leading tours and addressing groups.
- Basic knowledge of motorsport engineering and technology is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate tour schedules and special events.
- No prior experience necessary.
